[...] Read Part 2- Spoke to call centre agent, no £20 compensation maximum they do is a voucher to use at Asda for £10. Finally speak to a team manager and get more lies. Letter I write to Asda confirms those lies and did they actually bother to read the letter I sent to them. See their reply to my letter. Read Part 2 [...]

UPDATE: Well Leeds City Council have just demonstrated who they think the "us" is. Started off by ending the free bus service which take people to the hospital. Good old public sector council mentality! We want to make a point about the government, lets make the people we serve suffer to prove a point.

The excuse was a poll they did in which they found out "75% of people said if there was not a free bus service they would walk". Fuck me what else are they going to do? Fly. Plus does this info not tell them also that they might have a problem paying the bus fare? Thus making the free bus service a useful service that they have chosen to cut.

There will be a lot more of that going on no doubt. Too much to expect councils to actually try find ways of raising funds to fill any shortfalls. There is plenty of chopping internally that can be done safely without disruption of normal life and plenty of initiatives with the private sector too! But nooooo.
